What the service is

ClearScout is an informational service for people who sell designs online. Today it consists of a free weekly email report — trend research, market saturation observations, trademark-risk screening, and AI image prompts. By joining the list, you're agreeing to these terms.

The most important section

ClearScout is risk screening, not legal advice. Our trademark screening checks terms against public records (such as USPTO and EUIPO registers) and flags risk. It is not a legal opinion, it is not a clearance, and it cannot guarantee that anything is safe to sell — trademark law depends on context, jurisdiction, and how a mark is actually used. A "no flags found" result means we found no flags, not that no risk exists. For any specific product, dispute, or takedown, consult a qualified trademark attorney.

Your decisions are yours

What you design, list, title, tag, and sell is entirely your decision and your responsibility. ClearScout provides research inputs; it does not review your actual listings, and it is not responsible for marketplace policy decisions, takedowns, suspensions, or legal claims affecting your shop.

The free report

The signup page says the weekly report is free forever, and these terms back that up: we will never charge for it. "Forever" means for as long as it exists — we may change its format or frequency, and we may someday stop publishing it, in which case we'll email the list. What free-forever does not mean is that it quietly converts into a bill. Paid offerings, if and when they launch, will be separate products with their own clearly stated terms and prices before you pay anything.

Using the content

Report content — the research, scoring, and writing — belongs to ClearScout. You're welcome to use it to run your own shop, share an issue with a friend, or quote it with credit. Please don't republish issues wholesale or resell the research as your own. The prompts are there for you to use, and we claim no rights over the designs you generate with them. Whether AI-generated images can be copyrighted at all is an unsettled legal question — one more thing that belongs with an attorney, not a terms page.

No warranties, limited liability

The service is provided "as is." We work carefully, but trend data ages, public records lag, and predictions are predictions. To the maximum extent the law allows, ClearScout is not liable for business losses — including lost sales, removed listings, or suspended shops — arising from use of, or reliance on, the service.

Changes

If these terms change, the effective date above changes, and material changes will be emailed to the list before they apply. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
